The Fort des Dunes aims to be a place of memory and history, including the Musérial as an interpretation center. It is also a cultural space dedicated to families, with a rich program throughout the year, and now a theater: the Zum Théâtre. The Fort looks forward to welcoming you!

Why this museum
A military structure of the “Séré de Rivière” system, nestled in the heart of the dunes, the Fort des Dunes museum provides an insight into the different eras that have marked French history. Today, it is one of the major museums in the Dunkirk area.
Events and culture
Many cultural, sporting and memorial events take place at the Fort des Dunes. They allow visitors to discover the history of the site in a different way, and ensure that this shared history is passed on to future generations…
A place to remember
The Fort des Dunes witnessed Operation Dynamo, the largest landings in the history of the Second World War. It was also the execution site for Dunkirk resistance fighters.

Organized in partnership with the “Vélos Historiques” association, this unique exhibition will showcase dozens of bicycles dating from the 1920s to 2020. Visitors will have an exceptional opportunity to admire emblematic models and rare bicycles that have marked the history of the bicycle.
