The Fort des Dunes de Leffrinckoucke is proud to announce the launch of its captivating new temporary exhibition: “The great adventure of the bicycle”.
From March 9 until November 1, 2024, visitors will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of the bicycle and explore its evolution over the decades.
Organized in partnership with the “Vélos Historiques” association, this unique exhibition will showcase dozens of bicycles dating from the 1920s to 2020. Visitors will have an exceptional opportunity to admire emblematic models and rare bicycles that have marked the history of the bicycle.
“The great adventure of the bicycle” at Fort des Dunes will offer an immersive experience through time, retracing the technical, aesthetic and social evolution of this iconic object. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the different eras of the bicycle, understand the technological advances that have shaped its development and appreciate its impact on society.
The exhibition will highlight bicycles that bear witness to their era: Racing bikes, utility bikes, city bikes and many others will be presented, offering a remarkable diversity to satisfy cycling enthusiasts and the curious.
As part of the 2024 Olympic Games organized in Paris, the exhibition will also allow you to discover Olympic stories and anecdotes with iconic bicycles which have marked the history of this prestigious sporting event!
